One of the fun aspects regarding the Crowe's Point universe is having all of Russell Crowe's movie characterizations live together in one place. Another is the opportunity to introduce one's own AE (alter-ego) into that world as well. Some may do mirror images of themselves, others only partial images, and a few may create an AE (alter-ego) completely from scratch, but it is a way to "play" alongside a favorite character and in most cases, become a companion or partner to that incarnation.
The guidelines for writing Crowe's Point fiction can be found elsewhere, but with the Crowe characters and their connections, there is a bit of flexibility. Although the Crowe character may have a listed companion, that doesn't exclude you giving him another. The only thing you must keep in mind is that the AE mentioned -- to avoid confusion (i.e.: "Well, so and so is there but she's not with <fill in the blank with Crowe character name> and he's off with <your AE>") -- is excluded from your stories. In this way, although someone may be "taken" in one version, this gives you the opportunity to still create a work around him with your own AE. You can read more in the guidelines, but this is just to give you a very basic idea.
